This was my last view of Lake Erie. It turned sunny and gorgeous on the way to Michigan, but there was a lot of headwind so it was a tough ride. For the first time, I put in my ipod. Three Rachel Maddows, one Ring of Fire, and half an One the Media got me to the 1000 Trails campsite just outside of St. Claire, where I was charged the incredible bargain rate of $5. This is a private camping gig, but these folks here are espcially kind to cyclists. Only thing: now that I'm in Michigan, I'm hearing all the horror stories about snow in the UP. Nothin' scares me. Bring it on.
