The Ludington ferry to Manitowoc leaves at 8 a.m. daily. That meant 102 miles in a day so I could catch the ferry the next morning. I was DEAD when I arrived but managed to get a meal of carbs before bed. The ferry is a four hour journey. I sat with a local trucker who was hauling a load across the lake. We talked politics and he pulled the Bible card to which I responded, "Well, we also have this thing called separation of church and state." All the while, we played bingo. When he won, he gave me a card for a free piece of pizza.
