Adirondacks

Wow! I can't believe I haven't been up here before. This was truly an awesome day of riding. I had country roads all to myself for miles and miles. When I reached Newcomb, I met a couple with a dog, named Ike. They owned the kayak business next to the Hudson River bridge. Ruth and Dave informed me that the private campground was out of commission, but not to worry. They offered me their brand new cabin in exchange for a list of cyclists supplies they might sell in their store! Beers on the balcony in Adirondack chairs, grilled chicken, rice, string beans, and fruit and granola, a hot shower, and really comfy queen bed with a view--all this in exchange for a list. I was at a bit of a loss.

I'm gonna send them some pecans.

Went to bed at 9 pm and woke two hours later with a mild headache. I happily downed the cold chocolate milk in the frig that I had purchased at the funky town store. Back to bed with knees elevated on three pillows. All good. Really good.
