What a hassle getting out of NYC! Thank the goddess for all the help from my friends.
Jill and I left just in time to sit in hours of traffic but we didn't mind too much. Finally on the road. We had a long drive to Maine so we stopped for dinner around 10 pm in Portsmouth. Found a brewery with great food. Got out the netbook and booked a room at the Wynddam a few miles up the road on Hotwire for only $64! Slept like a baby after a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Thank you Rosemary!

ReplyDeleteVeuve Cliquot! Life must be tough on the road for my sister. I showed this to Sarah and Angela and they were blown away. Our Mother would be rolling in her grave. Heck, if you can go to Vietnam, then you can bike across the fruited plane. Let me know where you're going to see if I have some friends for you to visit/stay. Kenny
